Luther’s Germany: Calculating the Cost and Value

Luther’s Germany: Calculating the Cost and Value

All entry fees, hotel bookings, and transportation have now been arranged for this transformational journey through Luther’s Germany. Practicality and cost-effectiveness have been carefully balanced with comfort and meaningful experiences. The only thing missing now is the participants! This ten-day trip, plus two days for travel (October 25–November 5), follows the life of Martin Luther from his birthplace to his resting place and lingers at locations where eternal lessons may be found. For a preview of a portion of the itinerary, see the previous AMI newsletter: /newsletter/march-6-2026/. Pr. Ron Kelly and Andrew von Maur will be leading the tour and facilitating thought-provoking discussions. Sabbath will be spent at the Seventh-day Adventist church in Wittenberg, on the 509th anniversary of the nailing of the Ninety-Five Theses on the cathedral door. The total cost per person is $3,300. This includes hotels, meeting spaces for group worship, coach bus transportation, two meals per day, all entry fees, a custom tour book with daily readings, and the Sabbath outreach opportunity. Participants are responsible for their flights to Frankfurt, transportation to the meeting hotel, passports, traveler’s health insurance (through their provider), and any additional meals or personal purchases. Space is limited to forty participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your place, please contact the AMI office ([email protected] | 269-362-7678). A deposit will be requested soon, and the full balance is due by September 1. God will constitute this group as only He can—and each participant will return with a rekindled experience that will bless many others. Please share this opportunity with any who may benefit from a faith-strengthening experience: /events/transformational-trip-luthers-germany/

AMI’s Grand Opening Event

The first event in the first building on the AMI campus will be full of energy, celebration, and inspiring presentations from a powerful collection of pastors, attorneys, ministry leaders, and laypeople. Featured speakers include: Dr. Peter and Sis. Maha McCullough, Elder Stephen Bohr, Elder James Rafferty, Dr. Isaac Olatunji, Elder Tim Rumsey, Scott Ritsema, Barry Bussey, Dr. Marisol Quintanilla, Tim Perenich, Bruce Cameron, Jonathon Cherne, Jonathan Zirkle, Eva Tompkins, Paula Dronen, Dr. Allen Hoffman, Elder Gerhard Erbes, Daniel Bacchiocchi, Elder Ron Kelly, and many more! Preparations are already underway to accommodate what is sure to be a good-sized gathering of the saints! As you plan your visit, here are a few things to consider: Families may find nearby campgrounds in the area or along Lake Michigan to be the most cost-effective option for lodging. For those who prefer the convenience of a hotel, group rates have been secured at several locations. You might also consider connecting with friends in the area and turning the weekend into a doubleheader. Plan early, as tourism in beautiful Southwest Michigan peaks during this season, with many families fitting in vacations before the school year begins. See the registration page for lodging options and booking URLs. Some have asked about exhibit space. We have nine indoor spaces available and will also provide additional booth areas under a tent outside. Please contact the office for booth requirements ([email protected] | 269-362-7678). To register free click here: /events/ami-religious-liberty-celebration/. Seating inside the new building is limited to the first 450 registrants. The remainder will be seated under a big tent, using a screen. We look forward to seeing you on the AMI campus, August 20–22!

Building Progress Report

Blizzard-like weather swept through Southwest Michigan again this week. Straight winds of 28 mph with gusts of up to 65 mph made work outside not only bone-chilling but impossible. Inches of rain before the inches of snow only added to the challenge. Despite these delays, one-third of the footings were completed the week before last. Encouragingly, next week’s forecast calls for favorable working conditions. Please remember to join us in prayer for good weather for the Amish crew. Each delay tightens the timeline for our August grand opening. Borrowing the words of Nehemiah: “The God of heaven, He will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build…” (Nehemiah 2:20).
